Reiki / Medical Reiki – $65 per 1 hour session
Reiki is an energy healing treatment that works holistically, on the whole body, mind and spirit. Reiki is simply a relaxing treatment where natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the hands of a Reiki practitioner (acting as a conduit) to the body of the recipient.
The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to:
- relieve stress and pain
- induce relaxation
- release emotional blockages
- accelerate natural healing
- balance subtle energies
… and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies.
Benefits of Reiki for Children
The calming practice of Reiki can benefit children by promoting relaxation and confidence. Learning about and utilizing Reiki at a young age promotes a healthy way of living throughout their lives, helping children make better choices and create balance.
Other Benefits Include:
- Less likely to show signs of excitability and depression
- Improves concentration
- Enhances relaxation and sleep
- Calms and promotes balance
- Enhances self awareness and self esteem
Reiki treatments are safe and non-invasive. Children today are dealing with anxieties, fears, peer pressures and educational pressures. Childhood ailments such as ear infections, respiratory infections, asthma, G.I. upset and type 2 (adult onset) diabetes are on the rise. Reiki has been helpful in the treatment of ADD/ADHD, inattentiveness, irritability, emotional issues, hyperactivity and defiance. Since Reiki works on all levels of the body-physical, mental/emotional and spiritual, the body will be able to use the energy to find balance in its own way. It will adjust to the moment and the needs of the individual. Because Reiki is balancing, it can be of benefit regardless of the type of “disorder” and can provide soothing moments for parents and kids alike.

Reflexology is a complimentary natural healing modality based on a system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet, hands and ears with the premise that such work affects a physical change to the body.
Through application of pressure with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques on these reflexes, a person’s health is benefited through:
- the release of tension
- improved circulation
- the release emotional blockages
- the reduction of anxieties
- the stimulation of the nervous system
… and promotion of natural function of the related areas of the body.

Many couples find that trying to conceive can place an enormous strain upon their relationship, and making love can become a trial with either or both parties feeling under pressure to perform. Reproflexology is working with both partners, helping them to understand their own individual fertility indicators; by removing some of the strain it enables them to enjoy the process of ‘baby making’ again. An inability to conceive can sometimes just be getting the timing wrong!
Reproductive reflexology is a branch of reflexology that works with women and couples with pre-conception, fertility, pregnancy conditions and problems. Reproflexology is a specialized form of reflexology during the pre-conceptual care phase, the aim is to correct any hormonal imbalances, improve physical conditions, manage stress levels, and correct any cycle irregularities. The length of the menstrual cycle is measured from day 1 of menstruation i.e. the first day of fresh bleeding up to the day before the next bleed – a regular monthly cycle can be 23 days, 28 days or 35 days, it really doesn’t matter as long as the pattern is ‘normal’ for the female. If a female has an irregular cycle it can be an indication of fluctuating hormone levels, therefore it is important for her to monitor her blood loss, level of clotting, colour of loss and any other anomalies at each bleed. The Follicular Phase of the cycle is more likely to be irregular however the Luteal Phase should be constant and last between 10 and 16 days, what we are looking for is elevated temperatures. Whilst a female with a 28 day cycle will ovulate around day 14, a female with a 25 day cycle will ovulate around day 11, ovulation for a female with a 35 day cycle would take place around day 21. However, if the Luteal Phase is shorter than 10-16 days there may well be a progesterone deficiency which would need to be corrected.
There are three main sources of information a female can provide during the menstrual cycle that would indicate clues as to ‘when’ ovulation may take place, these are as follows:
• Cervical Secretions
• The position of the Cervix
Oestrogen produced during the Follicular Phase of the cycle is responsible for:
• Cervical Secretions
• Changing Position of the Cervix
Progesterone produced during the Luteal Phase of the cycle is responsible for:
• Changes in Temperature

Although no definitive studies appear to have been done, there is considerable speculation that if a man has a marginal sperm count; the best position for intercourse is the traditional missionary position. This allows for deeper penetration, and will thus deposit the sperm closest to the cervix. Some clinicians also believe that if your cervical fluid is not fertile, or the sperm quality is marginal, it may be advantageous for you to remain lying down for up to half an hour in the basic position in which you had intercourse. The theory is that this will help assure the sperm time to travel up.
Trying to conceive can be an extremely lonely and difficult time as many couples feel isolated even more so if their peers already have children or are pregnant, and they may find it difficult to be in their company.

Did You Know?
There are many factors that cause stress and dis-ease in our lives. By invoking the natural healing and gentle transference of the Reiki energy into the subtle life energy vibrations, which is inherent in all life forms, you are supporting the body’s own innate power for healing.
This provides a greater opportunity for you to feel empowered, as it promotes relaxation & awareness, and it re-balances the vibrational field within the mind and body.
Our feet contain approximately 7200 nerve endings!
This is one reason why applying pressure to the various reflexes makes the entire body feel so relaxed. Reflexology causes physiological changes to take place in the body when the body’s own healing potential is stimulated.
Thus, the feet play a major role as a preventative treatment by attaining and maintaining homeostasis, which is a balanced internal environment that can sustain the demands placed upon the natural healing systems.
